Hi, how have you been?
Hope everyone is enjoying the last few days of Ramadhan while utilising it to its maximum potential ;)
I just wanted to share something I read on Instagram this morning which makes a good advice - at least to me :)
So, here it is.
When there are people in your life that carry negative vibes with them, it sounds almost logical to just cut them out so they don't dim the light you've worked hard to build for yourself.
But I think it's more logical to accept that everyone comes with some sort of baggage from their past. When you come across people who are struggling to get life right, like I said, dropping them makes sense, but maybe you were given so much light so you could share it with people that really, really need it because they just don't know how to find their own light to live happily.

This resonates so much with what I am going through right now. The struggle of doing the right thing or to take the easy way out. The usual old me would have just dropped everything and leave. This new me, for some kind of reason, decided to stay and work it out. I am still thinking if this will benefit me in the long run. As I am typing this post, I am also listening to a podcast talking about the istikharah prayer. There is one part where the speaker was talking about the sunnah of an istikharah prayer and one of the sunnah is to know what is it that you are seeking for. Whether you are seeking the pleasure of Allah s.w.t, seeking Allah and the eternal good etc. That helped a little.
Well, I hope I made the most advantageous decision this time in seeking for Allah's pleasure and also in appreciating what Allah has sent in my way.
O'Allah
Destine for me the good wherever it may be
And make me content with it
The good is always in what Allah decides.
